The best method to apply Grow Green to trees is, according to the size of the tree, use 3 lbs. of fertilizer for each inch of trunk diameter at chest height. (for example, a small tree with a 5 inch diameter trunk would need 15 lbs of fertilizer.) Dig or drill 1 inch holes around the tree, 12 to 15 in. deep, spaced 2 ft. apart spreading from tree trunk to outer edges of tree branches. Fill the holes within 4 in. of the top of the soil, then fill the rest of the hole with dirt again.

Warnings: Always store in a cool dry place. If Grow Green is exposed to water it will expand and will be unable to be spread. Do not use if you have recently applied another high-nitrogen fertilizer.
